Brooklyn DWI Lawyer Discusses the Zero Tolerance Policy
As an experienced Brooklyn DWI Lawyer I am often asked questions about the zero tolerance policy. In New York City and in Manhattan there is a statewide rule that is followed throughout the five Boroughs, which is zero tolerance for a DWI. For anybody that’s less than the drinking age, less than 21 years old, if they are arrested and tested for alcohol in their system, they can be prosecuted for a blood alcohol content that’s below .08; .07, .06, .04, .03, .02, and .01. The zero tolerance means that they could be prosecuted for a lower blood alcohol content than the normal .08 that it takes to get a DWI over the age of 21.
Has your son or daughter who is under the age of 21 been arrested for a DWI due to the zero tolerance policy? If so, contact the experienced Brooklyn DWI Lawyer Carl Spector.
